Such ungentlemanly language has no place in this sport
With the Cluedo Invocation in place, I’m obliged to go for Manor House. It’s a shame really, as I’m sure you can all see what I would otherwise have done.
Forgive the intrusion, but might I offer a bold, wild move?
Seven Sisters
I remain untutored, but plucky.
Beginner’s luck, my friend…you’ll learn…
Tottenham Hale
I am feeling reckless and abandoned…
Stockwell --or is that still controversial given the 1989 ruling?
1889, surely? As far as I know, the 1989 ruling is still optional, due to the potential for almost limitless confusion.
In order to build towards a Charing Cross Branch diversion, I’ll go Morden
Oops-my bad. These reading glasses just aren’t strong enough anymore!
Morden is brilliant.
Hey-any info on whether a planned line strike changes the course of play? I never did understand the Buckingham manifesto. I’ll not try until I am certain about the strike rulings.
I think Buckingham has now been superceded by PFI Initiative Amendments.
Bermondsey
Elephant and Castle
Feeling much out of my league, but flattered that I am allowed play.
Thank you, kind sir.
Ahh, the cracks in the amateur tactics are starting to show - you’ve left the Moated Defence unguarded. Lancaster Gate
Oh, I am not quite through yet.
Goldhawk Road
(My Daddy taught me that one).
Your daddy never dealt with the DLR, did he? Cutty Sark
Now I know you’re toying with me.
I’m game.
Perivale --let’s see you slide out of that one G-man. Ha!
I’ll pass on that one, you fiend!
Simple, really. Continue on Central Line to Ealing Broadway and then from there, one can access Ealing Common and hence to
Alperton
It’s delineated quite nicely in Understanding the Underground --a book for beginners. It’s been a great help to me, I tell you. It may not have the sophistication of more erudite works, but it gets the job done.
You’re using a book?!
OK, you’re a beginner, but we need limits. I’ll invoke Stradbroke’s Emergency Timetable, and revert to Snaresbrook
oh, heaven’s! Not whilst playing! (that would be dirty dog cheating). But the guide has come in useful. (funny how I take on British-speak when I play this).
I must leave the field, bloody, but unbowed.
I timorously bleat
Aldgate
as I retire.
TTFN
I’m sorry, are we playing faulty elevators are wild? If so then Tooting Bec
Ah, yes. Tooting Bec . The move that lost me my left hand. I will not make the same mistake as before, no no! I’m going to present myself in a more defensive stance, but I feel safe in saying…
Bayswater.
I haven’t played this since I got my MA in East Anglia, so forgive me if I’m a bit rusty…
Enfield Lock
