Is there a name for the style that involves growing one’s sideburns down toward one’s mouth, close-cropped, coming to a point 1/2 to 2/3 of the way down one’s cheek? It’s not a muttonchop. Anyone with the name (preferably with a link to a pic so I can verify that we’re talking about the same thing)?
Well I don’t have a name but does it look anything like this?
I knew someone would reference Trek…
No, the points I’m talking about are longer and thinner.
I don’t know the answer to your question, I’m afraid, but I couldn’t pass up this opportunity to provide the best ever name for facial hair:
the Amish Chinstrap.
You know what I’m talkin’ about …
I was trying to find a wrestler with sideburns like you’re talking about. I know I’ve seen it, but can’t find a photo.
The photo’s not very good, but for a long time Rocky wore sideburns that looked like that, only extended downward. (He’s worn several different styles of sideburns, so…)
The points extend waaaay past the ear. Roughly in a line with the corner of the mouth. They start out as wide as the sideburn by the ear and taper down to a point, and the hairline is curved.
Perhaps this gallery has what you are looking for. The most likely candidates, based on your description:
The Long Slant
The Hockey Stick
The Claw
SC
It’s The Long Slant, although the one inquestion (currently decorating the face of my bf) cuts at a less sharp angle toward the mouth.
Thanks to everyone who played, enjoy your lovely parting gifts.
