Sorry about the delay, folks; however, my real life caught up with me. But since there was a recent news item concerning marital relationships in Islam (actually, a German judge showing a severe misunderstanding of them), I figure it might be interesting to discuss what the second Surah has to say about divorce.
The topic begins around verse 226.
My personal opinion is that certain “fundamentalist” regimes also show a severe misunderstanding of the provisions of this Surah.
