  • “What I’m really giving you is a part of me” This was from an ad for Hallmark cards. Even at the age of 9 I thought that this had some potentially sick interpretations.

  • “Honeycomb’s big! (YEAH YEAH YEAH) It’s not small! (NO NO NO)” Now I challenge you to get that one unstuck from your minds.

  • “Hi! I’m the Tidy Bowl Man”. There’s something profoundly disturbing about lifting the cover of your toilet and finding a tiny guy on a miniature yacht floating within.

  • “Big Mac, Fillet o’Fish, Quarter Pounder, French Fries, Icy Coke, Thick Shakes, Sundaes and Apple Pies”. I can’t believe a remembered that one.

Riunite, not Martini & Rossi. M&R was an 80s commercial, “Martini & Rossi Asti Spumante” as some sort of tongue-twister.

Yep, for the Bic version of the Flair: a felt-tip pen in a rainbow of colors. They were called Bic Bananas. I had a 12-color set when I was a kid. Charles was famous to me as Hoo-Doo, the green villain on Sid&Marty Kroft’s “Lidsville”. God, what a weird show.
