i was watching E last night and David Blain’s Street Magic came on. in this program he performed some difficult tricks with playing card and coins, but what baffles me most is how he levitates in mid day in the middle of a street.
so my question to you is: is levitaion possible,
and is david blain possessed?

No, but he’s a clever showman. His levitation stunts usually involve artful editing and wires or other hidden supports. He’ll intermix scenes with an audience present, and reacting with scenes taken earlier before there were others watching (when he’d do the mechanical parts of the trick).

(btw, I finally watched the street levitation, and while he does the Balducci thing, there is obvious camera trickery that makes it appear he went much higher.)
I taped it last night.
I’d seen it before, but wanted to be able to look at that gorgeous face anytime i so chose.
I liked the biting-the-quarter trick.
So…how does he do the trick with the card ending up the other side of the window?

Nyah…I do that levitating trick to my friends in bars all the time…nothing too it really.
Remember, all magic is just directed attention…it just LOOKS cool.
I can do about 25% of the tricks in that tv special…
