Lex and Terry have a morning radio show, that started out here in Jacksonville (FL), and now is syndicated in 16 or so cities. Locations range from Tulsa in the west, to Toledo in the north, a whole bunch of cities in the southeast, down to Ft. Myers. Show consists mostly of L&T “helping” callers, a variety of bits and telephone pranks, and as Folio (the newspaper with the good sense to carry The Straight Dope) put it “dick jokes.” They also have a website http://www.lexandterry.com
Anyway, how do Lex and Terry fare in syndicate-land? To hear them tell it, they are kicking butt in every market they enter. Having listened to them (on and off) since they began, its hard to be objective.
So how 'bout it dopers … any Lex and Terry fans out there? or anti-fans? L&T or Howard Stern or that Love Sponge guy?

I’ve been listening to them for about three years. They replaced the Ron & Ron Show. Lately, though, they’ve been doing a lot of “stuff that would work better on TV” type stunts involving Stacy. Still, they are MUCH better than the John Boy and Billy Show.
Here in Birmingham (Alabama!) they are beating everyone and have been since they started. They are very popular. I usually listen to them heading into work. I started out hating them, then liking them, now pretty indifferent. I think I would like them better if they didn’t try at every turn to insult people just to be insulting (esp. Terry). The Stacey Olympics has been funny though.
Period.
They sucked when they were in Jax, they suck now. I miss Planet Radio! (Streaming audio over low-bandwidth doesn’t get it)

The yutz in the desk next to mine listens to them every moring. Said yutz is an idiot, a jerk, and a bigot. That’s enough for me not to want to listen to them.
They were here in Dallas for a while and the one question that always came into my mind was, do these guys have any training to be giving out the advice they do? It doesn’t really matter to me since I try to avoid morning radio since everybody envolved seems to be moronic. I stick with NPR in the mornings.
