Liberal. Did they kick you out ?

When you told this story before, you said it was his idea.

Also, you left out the part where you were concerned that the skin problem was flesh-eating bacteria.

Sometimes it’s like a Baron Munchausen routine, sometimes it’s more like Monty Python’s Medical Love Song, sometimes it’s just sad.

Let’s make a new rule! ** Liberal** must identify his postings clearly and unequivocally! Like, say, a username prominently displayed so that you will know who you are dealing with! Oh, and lets make all posts optional, so that you are not compelled to read anything, by anyone.

OK, pretty radical, maybe, but still…

That’s not true. The whole point of switching doctors was to find one who could both competently treat and refer.

Another lie. I said that that was a concern of my internist. I went to a dermatologist for a second opinion because I doubted his concern.

i tried to coin a term for people who pile on drama queens. I call them drama peasants. But the author of that thread didnt appreciate that, so I backed down. I still believe that’s a good description though. I’m a drama groupie, myself. Shame on me.

I know that was the point; and frankly I’m happy for you that your new doctor did the right thing. You just oughta keep your story straight so that people don’t call you on it.

You misunderstand. I meant the seborrheic dermatitis, not the accident from falling off the porch; and neither of these statements were made on the SDMB (I don’t think I can quote that here). I figured you might want to clear that up to prevent finger-pointing; no need to be defensive.

Wait a minute - isn’t dandruff a scalp condition? I have never heard of it on someone’s legs – and I cannot find any case of it on line.

Right, but the only reason I feared it was that my internist feared it. I wouldn’t know it from Adam, and so would have no reason to fear it without cause. You could make the case that I should have mentioned the internist’s concern in that particular post, but it shouldn’t surprise you that hundreds, probably thousands of things, conversations, words, actions, and scenarios transpired over the many hours and days that I covered. You are probably a good enough writer to include every sequential detail of every moment of the minutes involved. But I’m not.

Now, you say there was no need to be defensive, but I would say there was no need to attack. It wasn’t a situation that had to be either-or: either I was concerned or my internist was concerned. It clearly could have been both, and had you given me even the slightest benefit of the doubt, you, with your intelligence, would have figured that out.

Likewise, when I said there that “He said that what he would do is act as my General Contractor,” that certainly did not preclude my asking him if he would do so. But again, you decided it was either-or, and clearly made an attempt to make it seem as though I were making up stories and telling them differently in different places.

I suppose I could have copied and pasted the other post here, but stuff has happened since then. My ankle sprain is getting much better, but my shin is still tender and still being treated despite the dermatologist’s willingness to remove the skin tags yesterday. That was all local anesthetic, and got nowhere near my shin.

Anyway, I think you jumped the gun, possibly inadvertently — although I must say that it comes across as just a bit weird that you are reading my posts with such a strict eye while comparing individual phrases apparently for contradiction. But if that’s your bag, then […shrug…].

From the Mayo Clinic:

Seborrheic dermatitis is a common skin disorder that mainly affects the scalp, causing scaly, itchy, red skin and stubborn dandruff. For infants, seborrheic dermatitis of the scalp is known as cradle cap. In addition to the scalp, seborrheic dermatitis can also affect the face, upper chest, back and other oily areas of the body.
I have it on my scalp, my face, my chest, and my legs.

It wasn’t meant as an attack, Lib. (Have you ever seen me attack anyone?) I actually had remembered it from before, I’m not nitpicking your posts. I figure that you want to be taken seriously, so you’d benefit from knowing when things don’t add up.

Guin, I’ve known people with it all over their arms and legs. It can be quite problematic.

Okay, I didn’t know that.

You learn all sorts of things from Lib

The tone of Guinastasia’s didn’t sound exactly, well, inquisitive.
It sounded more like that guy on tv, “give me a break”. That guy!
Peace,
mangeorge

I do appreciate that, but now you hopefully understand that your math was a bit off. Just because Dr. Smith says he will do something doesn’t mean that Mr. Jones didn’t first suggest the idea. And just because Mr. Jones fears something doesn’t mean that Dr. Smith didn’t instill the fear.

But no big deal. We cool.
