Lich King: Disc or Download?

My local GameStop was open at midnight, but I was too lazy to go stand in line.

I bought the Burning Crusade discs, but wound up downloading the game anyway, so what do y’all think I should do: buy the expansion pack and load it, or download off the net?

So is it not downloadable? I suspect that it’s just too damn big. A pity, because my 4-yr old desktop on which I usually play is not equipped with a DVD drive, so in addition to buying the game, I think I’m going to have to buy a new drive to install it. :frowning:

  1. There is a download available–not sure where, but my friend had to do that as her computer doesn’t have a DVD drive.

  2. You know you need to buy the pack regardless, right, for the activation code?

Yeah, that’s what threw me off when I began playing the game.

I thought you just installed it and start playing, but (duh, Quasi), it’s one of those **multi-player on-line ** games, so yeah, you have to buy the discs, and to play - you create an account.

I’m new to gaming and still learning too. Folks like Jayn have been kind enough to help me out.
