Lie Bumps et al

I have gotten from time to time a little bump (my mother used to call them lie bumps).

What are these? Inflamed tastebuds?

I thought so but I would only get them once in a great while.

Lately something odd happened. I keep getting one at the very tip o my tongue. It stays a day or so and goes away and then come back in a week then the cycle reppeats.

Now in the past three weeks I have gotten it regularly AND I get the same type of bump at the roof of my mouth.

So I am thinking since taste buds are up there (or are they?) Lie bumps can’t be inflamed taste buds.

Yeah I know I should see a doc but by the time I can get in they disapear.

here’s an old thread on the topic

fungiform papillae

Mucoceles also form on the roof of one’s mouth. If that’s what it is, it’s nothing alarming. If one is not a tobacco chewer or smoker, it’s unlikely to be a malignant lesion. Your doc or dentist would still be the best source of info if you could show it to them while it’s there.
