Good mawnin, all. I aint got much cept I stayed up and watched Heros again last night. Boy, is it going to be weird.
kai, your fight with your daughter made me think of that cell phone commercial where the mother and daughter are yelling at each other but they are saying nice things.
Nuther busy day ahead but I gotta go pop into Cafe Society and see if they’re talking about the show.

Re: HerosYes, we are. Come join us. It is getting weird. I can’t figure out Nikki, the mirror-killer.
“Little punk”? welby? He’s huge! I’d lower your voice a tad. He wears tablecloths, you know. Not stable, and a big guy.
It’s pouring. It has rained every day for more than a week. I think maybe Toronto’s moral (immortal?) degeneracy is being punished. The solution is more good cheap Vietnamese restaurants in my area. Vietnamese restaurants are moral and good.
I thought she got about ten times more interesting than she had been last night.
So, I did something to myself, I think. Either that, or I’m just not as healed as I thought I was. I’d been doing pretty well this weekend, and last night, more pain. Today is not fun. And I’m out of narcotics.
Hey all. I am somewhat better today, and am off to work my 3 hours shift at the library. I mean seriously, one would have to be on a deathbed not to work for 3 hours, no?
Look at it this way-I make $21! Yep-pages (LIBRARY PAGES  ) around here make $7/hr.
Drae it can take several weeks for a broke butt to heal. It’s kinda hard cause, ya know, you can’t put a cast on a butt and all. Call the doc and see if he’ll (or she’ll) score ya some more narcs. Docs unnerstand this kinda stuff.
Just be careful you’re nog getting text messages from the library congressmen, or whatever they’re called…
I got the morning off…what should I do? I had an appointment to meet a guy from the home builder here, and I thought it would take a couple hours. But he was gone in 15 miunutes…YAY! Morning off!
I know it takes a while, I’m just pissed because I had been feeling so good! Grr. Yeah, I think I need to call for more drugs. I took four advil this morning, and certainly don’t feel them.
Maybe not a cast, but <snerk> there are a couple of widely divergent contexts for having one’s ass in a sling…
Drae, usually you can renew on the good stuff once or twice without having to find Dr. Feelgood. It might be time to switch to something like Tylenol 3 anyway, because you should be transistioning from sharp pain to achey throb by now, and that’s something T3 is ideal for…
Morning all. Got a call last night from the credit union. Apparently our mortgage application was approved. We’re locked in at a rate of 5.87%, no money down (I just lurves my VA eligibilty certificate). There is an appraiser coming by this afternoon, so I get to cut out of work in about three hours to walk around with him. But this means we can actually now get that siding we wanted, and a new roof, and that ginormous shed for the backyard too. Plus a couple-three other things.
Yes indeed! My last week has been consumed by a combination of Emily Dickinson and Franz Kafka. And I am completely loving it, there is a chance that Dickinson will soon overthrow Keats as my favorite poet.
Well, we’ve gone from the medieval to pill popping in just one day. It’s back to work today :sigh: I suppose I could play the lottery, but I get a better return on investing in beerverages(and both end up flushed down the toilet).
Drae, I hope the butt feels better soon. [sub][sub]Heh! Heh! He said feel butt. heh!heh![/sub][/sub]
Sean, cool!
LiLi, immoral and Canada just don’t seem to go together.
Sorry for reading incomprehension, FCM. That’s what I get for doing a skim-by – I didn’t have time to really read, but I wanted to do more than just post without reading anything. 'Cept what I didn’t read, I didn’t read, I guess. But yeah, I’m up for an MMP-Fest. As long as I don’t have to host!
Sorry about the broke butt still hurting, Drae. Pain is no fun. Long-term pain is really no fun. Chronic pain is definitely no fun. Guess which one I have? Sigh. I hope yours goes away fast. And if you take that much ibuprofen? Be sure to have food in your tummy FIRST. I took it for a number of years for arthritis quite successfully by making sure I followed the rules strictly. I tend to be a rule-ignorer, but some things are best not ignored. Especially after watching Papa Tigs end up in the hospital for several days with an ulcer bleed after a doctor put him on an NSAID for tendinitis, on top of a daily baby aspirin (enteric coated, but still) for his heart. Fortunately, Papa Tigs knows the symptoms of a duodenal ulcer bleed, which doesn’t cause any pain whatsoever, and got to the hospital in time for them to only have to pump out 1.5 liters of blood and gunk from his tummy.  Now I know if I ever find him passed out, that’s one of the first things to have them check for!
Er, sorry, I digressed. But at least it was a digression for a genuine warning, right?
Nothing else exciting here. Actually, nothing exciting here in the first place. Which is fine by me; I need to just be a good girl and work. What I really want to do is some knitting and some sewing – but I am going to be a good girl and do my work first. (gazes longingly at her knitting sitting a few inches from her hand) Yeah, I’m going to work. Hi ho, hi ho…
I have a headache. I just wanted to share that with you.
Tonight, a double quartet from our chorus will be singing on the County Courthouse steps as part of a ceremony to kick off breast cancer awareness month which reminds me, I have to make an appointment to get squished I won;t be singing but i will be taking pictures and writing up something for the newspapers
I just ordered 5 dozen confetti poppers from Oriental Trading Company. They have “Class of 2005” on them, but no one will be looking at what’s written on them - they’re for when we score during hockey games! Since they have out-of-date wrapping on them, they were only $1.19 a dozen!
Got a call from the sweet little old lady next door - she is digging up some irises and called to see if I want them. Of course I do! This lady embarasses me - her yard is always perfect - she does all the work herself and I know she has to be in her 80’s. She even uses a push lawn mower! She’s the one with the lawn the squirrels love to roll on.
I need to get moving - I need to mail reminders for the BC general membership meeting, buy cat food and cat litter (two stops, 'cause I buy the food at PetsMart and the litter at a feed&seed), stop by the Springer Opera House and ask about their party facilities, and pick up my hockey tickets! I could just pick them up during training camp, but what the heck - I’m going to be out and about anyway.
Drae - I so feel for you - I didn’t think my butt was ever going to quit hurting, and I didn’t even break anything. It’s been over a year and I have a permanent dent in my butt. Call your doctor and tell him you are hurting.
I called, and the doctor who originally saw me won’t be back in the office until Thursday. Which means I either wait till then to find out if he’ll consider refilling at all, or I go back today and see somebody else. The choice seems obvious to me, the problem is telling my boss, whose patience for this seems to be wearing a little thin.
Plus, I’m (TMI!) thoroughly PMSing, which means that I’m going to burst into tears and/or rip somebody’s head of sometime in the next half hour.
