Like a dummy...

We have a top of fridge bed, dryer beds, a bed cocoon thingy in the bay window. 2 cat trees. They pretty much own the house. They should make the mortgage payment.
But they especially like the beams across the ceiling in the great room. When I need them in particular place or need to do anything remotely objectionable, guess where they go?
I was desperate to get them caged up one time when the pest control man was coming.
There was no way to reach them, couldn’t entice them. Pest man got there and I explained to him the situation and he would have to come back. He said, “Let me try”. I looked skeptical. He got a ladder, and before he took the first step they were on top of a big cabinet jumping down and running to their favorite place, the dryer. I shut the door. Pest man sprayed everywhere but the laundry room. Me and the dogs stayed out for a hour. I came back and they were yowling rather loudly when I opened the door they looked out the door and jumped back in their beds. They are so elegant and beautiful when they are aloof and snooty.

Cats in general tend to be lactose intolerant, but some cats can tolerate lactose better than others. We have four cats, and one of them can eat ice cream and drink milk without any problems. He never gets an upset stomach from it and never has diarrhea or any other issues from it. The other three cats won’t touch the stuff.

If your kitties like cream, then it’s possible that they just happen to be fairly tolerant of the stuff. Then again, it’s also possible that the just like the taste of it and haven’t figured out yet that the upset stomach and diarrhea that they get later is a result of the dairy stuff that they ate.

Some people will tell you that you are horrible for giving dairy products to your cats, but if they can tolerate it without problems, it’s no biggie.

tell me something if cats cant taste sweetness why can my aunts favorite cat perfectly lick the frosting off a cake? doesn’t matter if its a cupcake or 8"round bday cake … she can do it in about 15 minutes… and the cake its self wont have a mark on it or be soggy with kitty drool …

oh a new wrinkle my aunt decided that before cats get fed any and all human dishes must be done so most of the time the after dinner dishes is done right before feeding time or feeding gets pushed back a bit

Problem is cats now think they get fed anytime dishes are done after dark …

Huh. 10 to 4. Dog Riot in progress.

I have a kitty parade every morning about 6am. Lucky me, I get to be the Leader of a Slew of Siamese to the pantry. The noise is deafening.

I make nachos a lot. I gave my cat some cheese once. She can’t get enough of it. Now, it only takes the crinkling of the bag of corn chips to attract her from anywhere in the house. She knows that if the chips are out, the cheese is next. And it’s impossible to hide the sound of a crinkling bag of chips.

I’ve started drinking a nighttime tea blend. My cat is obsessed with the tea bags and the tea itself–couldn’t really understand why. Until I looked at the ingredient list, in which catnip was the second ingredient.

Ooh, catnip tea. Gotta try that.

Every time I pour myself a bowl of cereal I spill a little milk purposely for the cat. He’s got me trained.

I’ve just got a cat that comes running every time I open a can. Loves his tuna juice, but doesn’t have the slightest interest in any other human food. The dogs, on the other hand, are right under foot anytime I’m in the kitchen, eagerly awaiting any dropped food. Even if I’m only washing dishes.
