Is there a limit to the number of words or characters in a post under Discourse?
Does Discourse prevent a single poster from posting more than a certain number of posts in a row?
IOW, if I want to create a fairly lengthy post, will I have to break it up into multiple separate poets, and if so, will I be limited in the number I can post sequentially?
(Someone asked this question in 2010 about vBulletin, but I assume the answer is different now.)
It nags you if you post several times in a row, but I don’t think it prevents you from doing so.
I got blocked on trying a fourth post in one of the scam threads. The message was along the lines of " Stop hogging the thread, let others post".
Like anyone else was prevented from posting by someone posting several times in a row.

fwiw, if you’re the original poster (ie it’s your own thread) then you can post more
than 4 consecutive posts.
I suspect any limit on post length would be a function of your browser rather than anything on the Discourse server. By default the maximum number of characters allowed by an HTML element 524,288. I don’t know if this is what Discourse uses for its text input area (and I don’t care to parse through the HTML and/or Javascript to find out) but it’s probably something similar.
I think the maximum length of posts is 150,000 characters, which is also
the default.
