I couldn’t find this on my own, perhaps my GoogleFu is weak today. Looking for a clip from The Simpson’s The Crepes of Wrath, iirc, where he’s in France for a while, and needs help, but can’t speak French, then suddenly he can speak French. Any help?

That’s a very serious offence.

That scene was such a nice, sly dig at the French. All the things Bart tells the gendarmerie, that he’s been kidnapped, forced to work in the fields, sleeping in a barn, freezing, starved, it’s not until he mentions that the guys are making wine with antifreeze that he finally reacts with outrage!
