Happy New Year!
I have encountered an issue, sporadically. When clicking on an embedded link, to a website external to the SDMB, I get this error message -
Not Found
The requested URL /sdmb/5065 was not found on this server.
The link in question is http://tinyurl.com/23el7xw , which resolves to http://www.jewishjournal.com/images/articles/tall_obama_110708.jpg , and which I can open just fine in a new window.
Am I doing something wrong? Or is something up with the way vBulletin stores URLs?
TIA.
Regards,
Shodan
It’s probably safe to put this one on vbulletin. Dunno why it would have problems parsing the link.

It could also have to do with the advertizing scripts. Usually though, that produces an error that has to do with the ad host, not the client.

Thanks for your response. Just out of idle curiosity (I am primarily a mainframe jockey), is there a separate table or series of tables that holds urls, and then vBulletin links to entries in that table when the post is built for display?
Again, Happy New Year!

FWIW, Cicero just reported the same issue in this thread (different link than what the OP is talking about).
