I always get a warm tingly sensation when I catch a spammer. If I can ban a spammer while he’s creating a new post, the pleasure is almost unbearable.

And I don’t want to blow up their COMPUTERS…

No, because the person actually making the junk phone call is just some poor shmoe working for slightly over minimum wage.

Now if you could blow that whistle or airhorn in the ear of the CEO of the company that contracted for those calls to be made, I’d be all for that.

Not always. They just busted yet another boiler room here in Bangkok. Guys cold-calling retirees and whatnot in other countries offering worthless real estate or other items for “bargain prices.”

Somebody was just banned and unbanned within an extremely short period of time in another forum here. I noticed but can’t remember where it was.

I can’t remember how the mod explained it, but it was interesting.

Unless, of course, this doesn’t get answered here, in which case ill be forced to open another thread.

I recently found myself directed to the user profile page of a recently banned user. (I happened to fat finger my selection on my iPad). Anyway, as I looked around the page to kill a few moments, I noticed that this persons activity was updated with a time that was earlier in the day…

This person has been banned for weeks now, so I thought this was strange. My question is, if a person eats banned, and they come to browse the SD, is that info captured, and if so, why?

I assume the person had not formally signed out of the SD, so perhaps coming back to the site was like coming back as if they were still a member (I.e. “logged in”). So, even though they can’t post, their visit is still tracked. Is this correct?

If I am wrong about the tracking, how could the last activity field become updated?
