So am I the only person who has difficulties reaching their LJ from about 5pm est until about 9pm or so? It seems that LJ is plagued with the same problem that SDMB is around those times.

Also, is there an easy way to search for any entries that you replied to or do you just have to poke around your friends page and find them individually?

I can’t answer the first part because I don’t have access around 5:30 PM. I have heard complaints about those times, though, so I don’t think you’re the only one.

I always end up poking around for my comments… it is kind of frustrating, but if someone replies directly to a comment of mine, I get it in my email, so that reduces the amount of in the crack slippage…

Interesting side note: it took me about 25 minutes to open this thread. Grrrrr…

Apparently for those of us with free accounts, the “Cannot Find Server” error is pretty standard between 5 and 11.

The difference between the free and paid servers has been particularly dramatic lately. I had decided to get a paid account because I use it a lot, and Bill decided not to, since he doesn’t use it as much. This past week or so, I’ve been able to access pages very quickly and consistently, while Bill has trouble getting anything to load up.

I’ll check the LJ FAQ and see if there’s anything about whether you can search for entries–I kind of suspect not, but I’ll be back in a bit with a definitive answer.

For your first question:

There is nothing in the FAQ about searching for posts or comments, so I’m gonna say the answer is no, you can’t, you just have to poke around.

My questions, which the FAQ was less than helpful about, but claimed that it’s possible.

  1. How can I display more than the most recent 20 entries on my journal?
  2. The ‘previous X entries’ works back for about 100 entries, but past that amount I need to go day-by-day, which is rather frustrating as I tend to update only two or three times a week, if that. How can I view older entries en masse? (Yes, the calendar will show me on which days I posted entries, but that’s just viewing them one day at a time.)
