I submitted two paintings to the Independence Home Days art show. Dan had to drop them off for me because I am in New Hampshire. The reception (for the artists) is tonight and Dan called me from there and said that Under Cover won 3rd place in the juried awards and Being Art won Best in Show! The show is this weekend (for the public) and there is a whole second set of “people’s choice” awards that get voted on at that time. I won’t be in town for the show at all, which sucks, but he took some pictures with his phone at the reception.
This is the second year in a row that I’ve won Best in Show at this show! :happydance:
I could have entered a third one, actually, but the entry fee was double for the big one (anything over 4’ is double) and I didn’t want to spend a lot of money.
When I saw the title of the thread I hoped you would turn out to be the OP. You’ve worked very hard on your art and that is truly a marvelous painting.
