Interestingly (or not) enough, my wife and I watched the documentary Spellbound tonight, and the 1999 winner of the National Spelling Bee won with this very word.
My boyfriend and I just watched that last night, too! That’s the first thing I thought of when I saw this thread title.
This word is used in medicine sometimes. People with Bipolar may exhibit it during mania (talk and talk and talk…any topic).
I was thinking that’s exactly what it sounded like! “Logo…rrhea? Logos plus rrhea? The spewing of words? Diarrhea of the mouth?”
