As I will be spending the weekend of the 15th in Paris with my GF, and as she is coming to Amsterdam the 29th, it is highly unlikely that I will make the trip to London the weekend in between. I’m really sorry guys, but you know how it is with women: they change their minds all the time.
I am in London every two or three weeks normally. So I’m sure we’ll be able to arrange a get-together someday.

Well, I hope the rest of us can still go ahead. Once the football season starts I’ll be going up to Glasgow so a London trip would be difficult to fit in to my schedule/afford.
BTW, I just learned that my friends who are coming to Ireland on the last weekend of July aren’t actually going to make it to Dublin til the 30th, so I could do the 29th if absolutely necessary… it wouldn’t be ideal though.

If you want a different date, that’s fine with me. I can’t do the weekend of 15/16 July, and possibly not the weekend of 29/30 July. Apart from that I’m fine up to about 20 August when I start my new job.
18/19 August would work for me. 11/12 probably would too. 4/5, probably not.

Now I’m also back in the London area, but probably won’t be for a while after the 5th or 6th of August. Before that would be better (29th or so), but I guess that is looking more and more unlikely.
Weekend of the 12th might be do-able. 5th is tricky, but might be okay.

I know the Euston / Camden / Chalk Farm area quite well. Plenty of pubs and restaurants around there. Even if I can’t make it I can dig up some info, if that’s the kind of area people want to try.

The 5th might work, if I’m in London that weekend. Which is doubtful, as we might be going on holiday together a week later anyway.

Assume I want to visit a meeting in London, how do I get this USA PC to work there? Are there international ISPs? LIke is Compuserve? Shucks, how do people login there? Do libraries have free net PCs? thx.
There are loads of internet cafes. EasyEverything is a new chain of large shops throughout London – usually near the major rail stations – which charges depending on demand. If you’re there at 4am, apparently, it’s quite common to be charged just £1 for 6 hours.
