Long haul flights are great for catching up on the latest films

I’m just back from a holiday in Rome. I had a lovely time.

And an added bonus - I got to see all of the latest films during the hours and hours in the air. Going over I saw:

Marie Antoinette
The Guardian
The Prestige
Flags of Our Fathers

Coming back I saw:

The Queen
The Departed
The Last King of Scotland
The Illusionist
Pierrepoint

I suppose that’s about the only advantage of having to travel so far.

I had an interesting month of travel, once. Something like Philly-Brazil-Mexico-Houston-Mexico-Philly in six weeks. Of course, every single flight was with a different company.

By the end of it I could recite whole chunks of Pirates of the Caribbean in three languages. Now if I could just get an appropiate bucket of popcorn…
