Long Island dopers, help me out

Come May I’ll be searching for full time jobs. Every now and then I look around on job sites to get an idea of what’s out there. However, I’m finding it incredibly hard to find listings for the island. Everything is NYC, Queens, Brooklyn, NJ or Westchester. It just amazes me how few listings there are specific to LI.

Other than Newsday’s classifieds, where would you recommend someone like me look? FWIW the field I’m searching is social work. Thanks!

My WAG is that there is a greater need for social workers in the 5 boroughs compared to Nassau/Suffolk. Maybe you could contact LI Social Worker organizations directly and ask for guidance?

I know of a very good therapist in Commack who has an MSW. Maybe she can steer you in the right direction.
