Long running shows with no Law & Order guest spots by cast members?

I didn’t find any crossover with Gimme a Break or What’s Happening. I don’t have time to look up every actor on Soap but that’s a possibility.

Rhea Perlman knocked out Cheers, and I though Barney Miller for a nanosecond but I’m watching through season 6 of L&O right now and Abe Vigoda appears as retired detective…Happy Days and Laverne & Shirley are out.

Aw,hell got the dates wrong. I got nothin’.

Looking at every show that was on the 1990 season primetime lineup with L&O (I’m the only one at work today and am bored and looking up old TV shows is a fun trip down memory lane), it looks like there are 4 (maybe 5) shows that went on to qualify. Another 10 met the requirements for consideration but did have cast members do L&O.

Appears to Qualify
Empty Nest - Not seeing anbody who has done at least 10 episodes out of 170.
Family Matters - Not seeing anybody who has done at least 10 episodes out of 215
The Simpsons - Not seeing anybody who has done at least 10 episodes out of 485.
The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air - Not seeing anybody who has done at least 5 episodes out of 148.
Ruling Needed
Married…with Children - Seasons 4-11 in period and David Garrison (Steve) has appeared as a judge several times on L&O. However, he left the show in the middle of the fourth season but returned four more times over the years.

Seinfeld and Northern Exposure should go into the eligible but DQ category. Jerry Stiller was in the L&0. John Collum has been in multiple episodes of both L&O and SVU.

I would guess that someone from The Drew Carey Show would disqualify it. What about Whose Line is it Anyways?

This seems crazy, but what about ER? I know they did a crappy crossover with Third Watch, but I never followed L&O too closely…

Just glancing through, Maura Tierney and Julianna Margulies were on Law and Order, Alex Kingston was on SVU.

For ER:

Maura Tierney (Abby Lockhart) did an episode of L&O way back in Season 2 (1992).
Alex Kingston (Elizabeth Corday) had a multiple episode guest appearance on SVU.
Sherry Stringfield (Susan Lewis) did an episode of L&O in 2008.
Julianna Margulies did an episode in 1993.
Paul McCrane (Dr. Romano) did one in 1993 as well.
Ming-Na did SVU in 2004
Gloria Reuben did 3 episodes of SVU

I checked it last night and had my hopes up until I hit Cynthia Watros (52 episodes as Kellie Newmark on Drew Carey and a 2007 appearance in L&O: CriminalIintent).

The Colbert Report?

Aw, shit.
