Long time here. Low post count.

I like to listen more than talk. On the boards, anyway

I’ve posted more frequently since August 2000, but prior to that I probably didn’t have 50 posts. I guess I really need to keep a more watchful eye in GQ and MPSIMS.

I’m with Kyla on this one. Been here forever, poster #252 or so, and still well under 1000. Definitely can’t touch Qwisp, though. Party on!

Me too.

Also some of the posts under my name are not mine, as Spider Woman is my s.o. and sometimes she(or maybe me) forgets to clear the cookies.

Qwisp, nutin wrong with a low post count.

I registered in April, but didn’t start reading the boards regularly until a few months later. I generally read the SDMB while I’m working (I’m self-employed); actually it helps me stay focused on boring jobs if I can reward myself every few pages with a peek at the discussions. I also participate in several work-related groups, and those take priority.

Why don’t I post a lot? Don’t really have the time to get involved in debates, usually. Sometimes I might have something to say, but often someone else says it as well as if not better than I would have. Also, I’m a mediocre typist. But I do pipe up if I have something original to contribute and/or sufficient time to do so. I’m not really into posting for posting’s sake, virtual weddings, post-count parties, etc. But I do enjoy the substantive (if sometimes silly) discussions.

So you may not hear from me a lot, but I’m here!

I too, have been here for long enough to have well over 120-something posts.

I prefer to speak up when I have something to contribute, rather than post my agreement with others.

And composing my posts often takes a good bit of time, sometimes preventing my from getting through my favorite forums each evening.

It looks like I’ve been here for awhile and am still under 500. I dont even usually open a thread after 15 posts or so, I figure its allready been said.

I registered many many moons agoand my post count is still under 400. I get wrapped up in reading what other people have written, but generally keep my agreement or indignation to myself.

I generally enjoy this message board because of what other posters say, not what I happen to chime in with. I get sick of my own opinions, anyway.

Hey, count me in…

I think I’m in the top 5,at least.

I think I’ve got a somewhat low post count.

Just padding my post count

Well here is a thread that I have to respond to. Now I’m going to have to skip my next couple of responses in order to keep my post count low.

I would rather remain silent and be thought a fool than to speak and remove all doubt.

Does having a while without a computer count?

It’s often more fun to read than just pipe in. Especially with something like the Too Much Information thread.

:resumes lurking in the corner:

Check this out. This should be my 11th or 12th post and I’ve been here since July '99, if the regsitration thingy is right.

It’s called lurking, isn’t it?

Wow, Lemming, that is truly impressive, does your computer not have a keyboard or something? I don’t post much since my nickname became Moonshine the Threadkiller and I found that I was bringing up the rear on way too many threads.

No, my computer’s keyboard works just fine, and it’s not a typing-skills thing either: I hit upwards of 60 wpm with ease. It’s just one of those cases where I prefer to know what others are saying rather than actually comment too much. Especially in the general questions area–I just don’t have that much to say, but I’ve been reading through the boards all this time.

Creepy, huh?
Post count climbing…must…stop.

Checking in.

Until I started posting while at work (anything to stay awake), I had a tendency to disappear when my allotted overtime was increased.
