I hurt my back the other day and I want to rest for a couple of days. I have to go out of town in a few weeks and my back has to be good for traveling. So I thought about finding a chat room to keep me busy.
Years ago I chatted in a room dedicated to African wildlife. It no longer exists.
Anyone know of a chat room that is moderated?

Your link only goes to an explanation page. And google doesn’t find the site, either..it just gives links to other sites which mention the chatroom second-hand.
I highly recommend using a full blown IRC client and connect to irc.freenode.net.
But the web access is via http://webchat.freenode.net/?channels=Callahans. Just supply your nick and the reCAPTCHA and come on in. I use the same name there as I do here, but I’m usually afk working so I might not answer immediately if addressed.

Nope. Just general chatter. Wide variety of interests. Knitting. Knife making. One of the regulars is with a team working on a new design for a 3D printer. Pretty much the same mix of stuff you’d find on here.
