My community theatre group doesn’t have a lot of money and we want to print our own tickets, but want them to look decent. Does anyone know of a site that will let us use a template to make tickets in return for commercial mention on the programs?
When faced with similar problem a couple of years ago, I used Microsoft Publisher version 2.0, with excellent results.
You don’t have to have full colour, grey scale pictures with bold text overlaid can work quite well, and wikll photocopy reasonably well. Don’t get too hung up on it _ after all, it’s only a ticket that people will throw away when it’s finished with.
Quasimodem: I’m with DVous on this one. If you have a program like Word or Publisher on your computer, you could easily create a document or template to print out your event tickets. You could use these templates as a “starting point,” maybe? I would recommend photocopying the tickets onto heavier weight paper (cover stock), however. You might want to check out the services offered by Hotpaper.com if you’re still to intimidated to take on the project yourself.
