Looking for a good rifle ballistics site.

My Father gave me a rather odd rifle. Maybe a little rare. Marlin model 336er chambered in .356 Winchester. Lever action carbine.

From what he has told me, it’s a .308 necked up to a .356. The rounds I have for it are 200gr.

I’d like to know a little bit more about the round but am not having much luck.

It’s actually based on the .307, which is a rimmed version of the .308.

Berkut.

Thanks. I’ve been looking around a bit and this rifle may be worth around $3800. I’ll look more into the value.

Funny, my brother wanted the Mod '94 30-30 Winchester, so I gave it back to him. I like having a large caliber rifle around for bears that get too curious. And ended up with a collector. I’ll let my Dad and Brother know and put the gun away. I’ts only had 5 rounds shot though it. It may be worth something.
