Looking for a pc doohickey

Putting this in the Game Room, thinking that gamers might be more familiar with what I’m talking about (many apologies if that’s wrong):

On my last computer, I had an nVidia 2080 video card with an EVGA PowerLink (I don’t remember if the video card was made by EVGA or not). I liked the way it looked and helped clean up the case.

Now that I have a new system an a 4070 Super, I’m hoping that there’s a similar product for it. EVGA doesn’t look to be a going concern any longer, at least as far as video cards go. And I haven’t had any luck finding a similar item.

Are there any Dopers that know if such a thing exists? Or 3D-printing plans for one?

I didn’t know such a product existed. Seems cool but also pretty niche; I can’t imagine it would fit all the permutations of graphics cards, motherboards, and cases? Only certain combos?

Not really the same thing, but there are cases with built in cable management ducts/channels or similar systems: Best Cable Management Pc Case Solutions for Clean Builds – Axe and Answered

And also generic cable wraps that help clean up the look, but it still isn’t the same as a hard duct: Amazon.com: 50ft - 1/4 inch & 1/2 inch PET Expandable Braided Sleeving – Black – Alex Tech Braided Cable Sleeve : Electronics

Not the same thing, still.

Hey - Thanks for the reply!

I’m pretty resigned to the idea that such a thing doesn’t exist (though it should!).

I figured there’d be no harm in asking, though.

It sounds like you want a 16pin u-turn adapter.

Corsair has one that’s crazy expensive, but probably won’t catch fire. I wouldn’t run 600w through a $15 aliexpress adapter drop shipped through Amazon, personally.

I want one of those! My current build has put virtually ALL of the cables on the back of the motherboard. There’s only four wires for the CPU AIO (essentially unavoidable without a hole through the motherboard, the coolant lines to and from the cooler (again, unavoidable, though a conventional cooler would have worked just fine but for the rule of cool), and the video card power cables, whose ugly black throws off the entire aesthetic. I’ve been contemplating 3D printing a small cover/video card support to keep that hidden.

Definitely a niche item, but I want one.

That would absolutely be the case (no pun intended). It’s definitely a cool solution (again, no pun intended), but usually people use something like this for cable management:

Or…

Items like that are flexible, keep cables out of the way, should work in any case, and don’t inhibit cooling. They are the standard way professionals manage internal cabling for neatness and proper airflow. No need for something proprietary.

I’ve used the bottom contraption to protect external cables from being tasted by a curious pet.

Personally, I prefer the hard plastic cover for external cables and the softer mesh ones for internal cables. (Just a preference, either can work well enough in either environment.) The soft ones are more flexible so I can more easily put them where I want them in a case, and the case itself protects the cables from being crimped or crushed. The hard ones are good for protecting cables from getting physically damaged by accident.

Not really an answer to the OP’s request of where to find what they are looking for, because I think the answer is “nowhere”, but rather it’s an answer to why you can’t find it (because arguably better alternatives already exist).

I think that’s what I’m going to have to settle for. I was really hoping another company had made something closer to the PowerLink, but it is what it is, I guess.
