Looking for a song... think "Spandau Ballet"

A friend of mine is looking for a song that is sung to the melody of Spandau Ballet’s “True”. Apperently its a new remake sung by a woman. The video “I think” has something to do with WW2. Could be wrong about that. I’ve pretty much exhausted my search ideas on Google.

PM Dawn did a song in the late 80s/early 90s with “True” as the sampled background track, I believe. Can’t remember the name of it, though.

Other than that, I can’t help much.

But that’s a male vocal, not a female.

DJ Andi K did a remix of True - never heard it, though, so I can’t say on the female vocal on that.

There was an all-female R & B group that used True as a sample for a song called Serenade - band name is Shades, bio here and lyrics here.
