What’s funny is some days ago, I was honestly thinking to myself, “I wonder if Cisquito is still obsessing over that blue monkey,” then forgot about it, assuming he’d gotten over the damn thing by now, and if he hadn’t, we’d know. I was wrong.

Aw, I’m sorry you haven’t found it yet. 
But I can’t help but think of the “Best in Show” Busy Bee scenes whenever I see the thread title. 
I still have my Larry the lamb. He’s is very rough, scratchy, stained, missing one and a half ears, and has a weird smell- just like he always was. He’s at least 45 years old. I believe he came from Germany and that my dad picked him up on an overseas trip.
I still fondly recall my daughter holding Sweetie the blue dog’s paw and soothing her while she got ‘stitches’ from me. So sweet.
I have continued to look in stores for it, as well as to trawl ebay every once in a while. I am determined to find this monkey.
Have you thought about having one custom made? A quick google search suggests that there are multiple companies that do this.
Of course, you might need to buy 500 of them…and convince them it’s legal to copy it…

Hi im new to this just because im looking for the blanket that matches that monkey… my son calls the blanket his boo fee feeet… and my hubby and I would be able to get some tantrums under control if only we had an extra so one could be washed and the other with him 24/7 
I have the monkey and he is brand new my son didnt like him
