Looking for actor's name from Cell Phone Ad

OK, there’s a cell phone commercial playing here in Atlanta (Probably nationally too, but I’m not sure) that has a cowboy who has super fast reaction time. In the ad, he is in a quick draw competition with another cowboy and he slaps the other cowboy before said cowboy can even draw his gun.

I’m almost positive this is from a ‘B’ movie. For some reason I think the guy is Australian, and he did at least a couple of these types of movies. I remember another one he was in where he was super tough and would fight people. In all these movies every punch he would make, the sound effect was way overdone and loud.

Any help?

My google-fu is not totally dead.
So Far I’ve found this…

Maybe this will help you fellow dopers help ME!

Wow, I’ve never answered my own question on “The Dope”.

The actor’s name is Terence Hill. He’s not Australian… he’s Italian.

Thanks everybody!

I know I have seen the movie before but I’m not sure which one. Maybe My Name is Nobody? Hopefully there is a Spaggetti Western expert around here.

I’ve seen that same commercial, and I’m also very curious. There is a possiblility that it was filmed new for this commecial, but it sure does look familiar.

PS: Anyone who wants to see it: Click on Enright3’s link, and then click on “Quick Draw”.

No there is no possibility. It was from a spaggetti western made in the 70s. Terence Hill was in several of them. I can’t remember which one this is from but it may have been *My Name is Nobody * which I mentioned earlier. Terence Hill or Mario Girotti which is his real name is 68 years old now. They did not film this for the commercial.

We’ll find out soon enough… (a week or so).
I’ve Netflixed the whole bunch (The westerns anyway), starting with the Henry Fonda one (which I doubt is the one from the commercials, but I like Henry Fonda, so what the hell).

Oddly enough I seem to remember him in a more modern movie too, but I can’t find one that seems to match up with my memory on IMDB.com. Oh Well.

Terence Hill made a lot of movies playing a character called Trinity. The first being They Call Me Trinity. As the name of the Quick Draw clip of the ad that you download from the Sprint website is called Trinity.wmv, I think that may be a clue.
