I’ve never seen anyone refer to a music video as an MTV before. I hope it doesn’t catch on.
I know–it’s so odd! It’s like saying “I’m looking for the Barnes & Noble about the boy wizard.”
Oh maybe they’re supposed to be called MVs. I wasn’t paying attention.
Side question: Is it common usage to refer to a music video appearing on MTV as “an MTV”?

Except it’s NOT. If you look closely, many of the dancers are not QUITE the same (though they are made up to look that way, and all have similar body types), and they jump from effect to analog many times. Still a very good video, with some of the cleanest editing I’ve ever seen.
I remember when this Mick Jagger video came out in 1985. It was said at the time that it took like an hour run on a Cray supercomputer to render all the graphics and cost a couple hundred grand (in 1985!)
