More than 30 years ago, I had an album (vinyl) of songs by a Danish singer known as “Gitte”. Her full name is Gitte Haenning. The songs on this album were all in German. I remember several of my favourite songs from the album: “Sag Mir”, “Hallo! Wie Geht es Robert” and “Regenbogen”. I don’t recall the title of the album.
This afternoon, I found Gitte performing all those songs on YouTube, and I also found her fan-site, where I went through the discography, but none of the albums there contain those three numbers. I checked Amazon (amazon.com and amazon.de), but again, can’t find any album containing those three numbers.
I know I only had one album, so those songs must have all been on the same album. A German friend bought it for me in Canada — from a European store, I believe. I can’t figure out why it’s not showing up anywhere in my searches.
This is an appeal to any German dopers or those with connections to German Dopers. Does any of this ring a bell? Can you think of anywhere else I might look to find the album? I’d appreciate any help you could offer.
