Looking for an app that shows extensive details about PC

I’ve got a friend over in Germany with PC problems, namely it’s very slow. I don’t want to recommend her to buy a new PC if upgradign a component or two might solve things, but in order to do that I need to know in depth details about her hardware. Specifically, CPU type and speed, mother board type and socket, RAM type and speed.

I thought about loging in to her PC via remote desktop, but the time difference and the fact that she uses XP (I’ve used Vista for a while now to the point where it takes me a while to find stuff in XP now) AND it’s all in german, makes me want to avoid that option.

Anyone know of a free app that I can have her run that will output some file she can send me with all her hardware specs?

CPU-Z will tell you everything you need to know about the computer hardware.

PC Wizard is a more fleshed out version of CPU-Z.
