I’ve recently been reading some modern war non-fiction, mainly fueled by my new obsession with Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2. Either way I’ve recently read One Bullet Away: The Making of a Marine Officer, Generation Kill, and watched and read Jarhead. Anybody know of some books or movies in a similar vein that give accurate (or mostly) accounts of the USMC?
You might want to take a look at “Shooter: The Autobiography of the Top-Ranked Marine Sniper” by Jack Coughlin.
Another one that I haven’t read but might meet your criteria is “Making the Corps” by Thomas Ricks.
