One of my Facebook friends was praying for the Packers. It amuses me that people do this, as if fans of the rival teams aren’t praying as well, or that God has nothing better to do than worry about football games when little children are dying by the thousands every day from lack of food and medicine.
Perhaps Der Trihs has it favorited? 
God not only cares about football, he has a favourite team.
He also likes Darts, Badminton, and Pinochle. Though he really doesn’t like Ice Hockey much.
I know this because I read it in an ancient book, which is where all facts originate.

No, sadly. This reminds me of a related stand-up joke, blaming the existence of disasters on sports prayer:
