Several years ago I had a Christmas screensaver which I lost in a hard drive crash. I have been trying to find it again on the Web with no luck, and wondered if any of the SDMB knew of a source.
The screensaver showed a Victorian period room, which changed depending on the date and time, with Christmas decorations & presents appearing as the date got closer to Christmas, carriages passing in the street outside the window, the fire sometimes lit and sometimes not, snow starting and stopping, etc., and ended with opened gifts and discarded wrapping paper on the floor on Christmas Day. One particular effect was the postman delivering cards through the mail slot, which would fly into the room, the envelopes would be opened and thrown into the fireplace, and the cards would appear on the mantle.
Any help in finding this particular screensaver again would be appreciated.
Sorry to be so late getting back to this thread, but real life interfered with my Dopery for a while. The link you gave is similar to what I was looking for, but mine was less elaboarate and a bit more cartoony. There was background music, and it was freeware I believe - IIRC I got it from the original source. The feature that appealed to me most was the way the basic scene changed from day to day leading up to Christmas Day (calendar on the wall changed dates, more decoration each day, etc.).
If you have any luck, let me know, but I’m beginning to suspect that it was not compatible with later versions of Windows and the source files were deleted from the net.
