A month or so ago, I saw an ad for a book series that was modern books in non-English languages, with the text on one side of the page and a translation of the tricky bits on the other side. The translated bits were words or short phrases. It basically assumed an intermediate level of knowledge of the language and translated the big words or unusual phrases to help out the reader. I think I saw the ad in the New York Times, but I could be wrong.
Of course, I don’t remember the publisher or name of the series or anything else about them. Does this ring a bell with anyone?
