Looking for info on wildflowers native to West Tennessee

Can anybody point me to a good online resource? I’m googling of course, but any help separating the wheat from the chaff would be appreciated. Many thanks.

Here’s one that has a downloadable list of “Nashville Natives.”

You’ll probably have better results googling if you search for “native plants” rather than “wildflowers.”

I know you’re looking for online resources, but the Tennessee Native Plant Society has what looks like a really good reference/field guide.

The Nashville link won’t help. That’s in Middle Tennessee. Try searching for links around Memphis, Jackson and Reelfoot Lake. You might also check for Farm Bureau sites for some of the counties or possibly garden clubs. You might check Overton Park in Memphis for a website. I think Reelfoot Lake may be a State Park also.

This is not online but if you’re a fiction reader you might consider Survivor: A Novel, by Chuck Palahniuk. In it he list many of the plants that people consider native but were actually imported intentionally or by accident.
