Looking for Joe Dolce CD

I am looking for Joe Dolce’s Shaddap You Face on CD, or on tape if I absolutely have to. This CD exists because I used to own it a long time ago. What I want is the full length version, not the single with just the title song. The songs on it are:

If You Want To Be Happy 3:22
Walking The Dog 3:20
Shaddap You Face 3:10
Ain’t Been Missing You 3:00
Return (Part 1) 3:05
Ain’t No U.F.O. Gonna Catch My Diesel 2:51
How Can Our Love To Be Gone 3:11
Stick It Out 3:40
Boat People 4:14
Return (Part 2) 1:54

Yes, I know he put out a lot of music and poetry, but what I want is this particular CD only.
Thank you.

  1. Set up an eBay alert for when and if it becomes available.
This is probably the CDs Product Details.

Thank you! There are songs on there that just aren’t available elsewhere, and i appreciate the help.

It sometimes take months, but I’m about 80% successful with eBay alerts when I’ve used them in the past.

I even checked Amazon Music, and all they’ve got is the “Shaddap You Face” single.

You could try emailing him. I don’t know if this email is current but could be worth a try:

The place to go for collectors is https://www.discogs.com

It can be a little but of work because you have to sift thru all the different versions sometimes to find what you want, but this is where folks like me buy & sell music.

Joe Dolce’s album was pressed in Canada and in Germany, near as I can tell. I found just one for sale, from a guy in Italy for $21 plus shipping: Joe Dolce - Shaddap You Face (CD, Germany, 0) For Sale | Discogs

ETA: Here is the page with the track listings for that pressing, etc.: Joe Dolce – Shaddap You Face (CD) - Discogs

I saw that, and I wasn’t sure if he was selling both the CD and the album, or if it was released in both formats.

“Album” is not a format. An album is a collection of things. You’ll see Album and Single listings on Discogs.

CD, LP, 45, VINYL, CASS… these are formats.

So what you saw was a listing for a CD copy of the album.

It says “Not available in United States”.

I sent him a message (on your behalf) asking about that. I wasn’t sure if non-members can send messages within the site, so I went ahead.

Hey!

Gotta no respect.

Ever hear his version of Michael Jackson’s “Thriller”?

You can never unhear this:

Ahhhhhhhh, it means they want you to buy that Residents album instead.

Sorry, man. All I got back was

It costs nothing to set up an account; then you can set up a search similar to eBay where you’ll get emails when one shows up for sale.
