Hi, all. A friend and I will be going down to NYC to see a show on Broadway the end of April. We have tickets to a 2:00 pm matinee at the Shubert Theater, and we’re looking for a place to have lunch beforehand. A google search turned up a place called the Starlight, or maybe Starlite, Deli nearby, but I can’t find a website for it. So I’m looking for a Plan B. Does anyone know of a place near the theater they can recommend? Al and I are both fairly adventurous eaters. Would anyone have a suggetion? Thanks!
When Mrs Cad and I travel, we try to hit a Michelin Star restaurant for the experience. So many in NYC to choose from.

It’s been 15 years or so, but Mrs. Martian and I enjoyed Osteria al Doge (http://www.osteriaaldogenyc.com/) a couple of blocks away from the Schubert.
I don’t have any personal experience but Google users seem to love Junior’s on 45th across from the Marriott. Here’s their menu:
Maybe it’s supposed to be Ellen’s Stardust Diner?
That’s undoubtedly the place. Be prepared to wait in a line. It is more for the “experience” than the food.
I had a place to recommend, but I just looked them up and they closed due to Covid.

I don’t think so. The address for the Starlight is 212 W 44th St, and Ellen’s Stardust is on Broadway.

Ha! That is a hole in the wall! Might be worth a try at some point just to check it out.
I noticed that Le Bernadin is just down the street from Ellen’s. I’d love to try that, but maybe not the OP’s speed.
Star Lite’s archived menu is broken but can be found here.
They actually do have good sandwiches for what they are but it’s nothing special. They provided lunch for some Broadway events I’ve worked at.
But if you just want a quick bite they’re fine. They have a new seating area in the back inside.
