We’re always a bit dubious of any situation where one person or group of people gets all judgmental over another person or group of people, even in fun.

At the same time we DO have a forum where you can indulge in a limited amount of that sort of thing; IMHO was set up to be just that, your opinion on things and that could include awards, brickbats, brownie points, whatever. Under those circumstances you can run with something every day if you wanna. It’s your opinion and not a global one and certainly not management-derived or endorsed, though, and I do not foresee us doing such a thing in the future.

As I have said before (and will doubtless say again) what really pertains here is what you have to say and how you say it and each post stands on its own merits. Most often that’s enough, more than enough.

I have no axe to grind here. I’m new. I’m vanilla. I certainly would not be in the running for even a mention in these proceedings. And I’m fine with that. I’m not fine with mob rule. But I’m not fine with elitism, either.

Libertarian, I have no particular stance on the APAS Project as a moderator of this forum. I do think it could be refined to a better form, and I generally think popularity contests are not the world’s greatest plan anyway. But that doesn’t mean you can’t try.

What I am telling you, is that your posting behaviour in this thread does not satisfy the rules of this forum. Particularly, your insults at Eutychus55 (albeit veiled at times) struck a wrong chord with me. If you wish to address posters in that manner, you shall do so in the appropriate forum.

Since you have acknowledged yourself that this particular concept will not take place, I am closing this thread.
