Looking to download cell phone ringtones (esp. "The Final Countdown").

Hello all,

As the proud owner of a new Nokia 6015i cell phone (and a free one, to boot!), I’d love to download a few ringtones. Not too many, nothing too obnoxious, just a few choice songs if possible. The box directed me to an official Verizon-related site: www.vtext.com , where you apparently pay for your ringtones and get them sent to you as text messages. With one or two exceptions, the selection was horrible–mostly hip-hop and top 40 teenybopper pop and mallpunk.

So are there any other reputable (and affordable) sites where I could get ringtones for a Nokia 6015i phone with Verizon service? I’d particularly love to get a ringtone of “The Final Countdown” by Europe, since a character on my favorite show, Arrested Development has that ringtone on his “fancy cellular telephone.”

I looked on Nokias site and saw your phone has polyphonic ringtones and then, because I’m so nice I looked for this

Get thee to www.howardforums.com and learn all about your phone and its hackable qualities.

www.matrixm.com has “The Final Countdown.” It is 1.49 or something like that.

Since nearly every kind of media can be found online, I suppose you could look on any of the P2P sites for ringtones but you can never really be sure what you’re gonna get.

I like 3gupload a lot. The cost is $9.99 for a yearly subscription and you can download unlimited ringtones, games, ap, etc. There are some “premium” games and apps offered too. This is the best site I’ve found so far with no hidden costs.

I just checked and they have final countdown too.

That is so funny. A couple weeks ago, my friend and I were watching this show on VH1 called something like “The Top 100 Worst Metal Songs.” Number 1 was “Final Countdown.” We then couldn’t get the song out of our heads for days, and it became an ongoing joke (we talked about making a Musak version, etc.) Anyway, I had never watched Arrested Development before, but I was flipping channels the other night and saw it for the first time and heard the ringtone and laughed my ass off. I was thinking I needed to find it send send it to my friend. Now I know where to find it! Hilarious.

Ok, I’m resurrecting this thread because I too have a new cellphone and I wish to put new ringtones on it. I’m supposed to be able to download mp3 ringtones, but I don’t know exactly how to get the file I want onto my phone. People seem to be able to put any old mp3 on a phone, but I’m so clueless. Can anybody point me to a tutorial or just explain it? I can’t find instructions on the web, but I’m probably not looking in the right place.

Guh, I just had horrible flashbacks to watching that video when I was in 10th grade!

Damn you!
