Looking to the East - An MMP

Me like!
So, what should we do this morning? Still no ideas? OK…

I don’t think we need an hour to figure out what we want to do. Not that it will likely make any difference… we’ll end up on the same page anyway

ETA: First on 5! Totally unexpectedly, as usual :smack:

Well, you’re not on the same page now! Roo’s on 4 and you’re on 5 - guess you’ll have to wait till she wakes up!

Still playing spackle-feed the baby - photographic evidence! Sigh, she’s grumpy again. Ciao!

Ok, so I’m reeeeealy late to this MMP party. Five pages? Oh, wait, it is Wednesday morning.

Well, since I’m so late, I brought funnel cakes! (And some pie, too, if you absolutely insist)

This has been an interesting week so far, starting with the weekend. You all are the first to know about this significant ground-breaking discussion between my bf and me (I?). Yep, that’s right, we talked about the big M, marriage. Current thoughts are this, no, we’re not there yet. Lots of obstacles in the way right now. Maybe we’ll get there in 3 to 5 years. I’m happy with this, but discussing it was a bit stressful anyways.

Cheers to all!

Yeah – wasn’t there that big scandal a few years ago about some congresscritters hitting on their pages? Now why would Roo and I be on the same page, I have no idea. Roo, perhaps you do swing that way after all?  :dubious: :stuck_out_tongue:

Heh
BTDTGTTS* all dirty… twice at every meal!

::sigh:: how 10 years can fly by…

*(Been There, Done That, Got The T-Shirt)

pounces Roo…and knocks over another lamp
Mornings suck. Wanna help me wake up?

Chinese Fire Drill ?!?

Well…if we must…

Congrats on the job, Jah!

I decided not to go to work today, so I went back to sleep after 'im indoors went to work and I didn’t wake up until just after 11am. How decadent is that? Anyway, today my head’s clearer but I’m coughing fit to rupture something.

There’s leftover chilli in the fridge for lunch, and I have nothing to do this afternoon except decide whether to watch several episodes of “Prison Break” or read a book. What a life!

Woozles, you got me so hard that I was out for 7 hours, and I need caffeine this morning to medicate myself from the lingering effects.

:stuck_out_tongue:

I’ve had my first cuppa, so now I go forage for my morning bacon and eggs.

Vertical, caffeinated, off to work.

Off to work soon. Cold here today (well, colder anyway). #1 son has standardized testing today, but senior year daughter is off. So, I have to take #1 son to school, since the husband is seeing #2 son onto the bus (I’ll already be at work).

I’d like my mornings to be a bit less…filled.

Happy Wednesday all.

Just found this on YouTube. NSFW (language!), but absolutely hilarious!

OHHHH, I forgot - congrats on the new job, Jaahhhhhdra!!!

Crisco?

I was grading papers on the El this morning and one girl, for her descriptive essay, was writing about a bakery, imagining it was hers. Fair enough, I thought; I never told them it had to be nonfiction.

But then I got to this part:

:dubious:

And that’s it. No back story, no explanation. Here I thought we were talking about banana muffins and BAM suddenly the bakery owner is crippled.

My comments in the margin: ?!

Haze She obviously has done what all writers aspire to: she’s left you wanting more

Dunno, I kind of like the way the backstory is thrust upon you in an implied way, here. I’d keep on reading this…

OTOH, somebody here has more issues than learning how to write in English!

I’m not hungry; you can have it

That guy is gonna be in big trouble from Pearl’s mom for teaching her to cuss…

It is funnier than shite though.

Congrats, jah!

Oh, what the hell… ::gropes bobbio’s nuts::

Hope the sickies feel better soon.

BTW, rosie, I’m with mooooooom, on the cool whip with sprinkles. :stuck_out_tongue: :stuck_out_tongue: But then, I’m pretty firmly in the savory fats camp.

I had a punkin latte last Friday when I was toolin around with my bro. It was good but the temp was a tad too warm for maximum enjoyment.

Well, I’ve put off billing hell long enough.

Tupug

Haze, one of Best Friend’s undergraduate’s papers started, “For example…” She spent a while staring at it, wondering about missing pages and missing brain function.
gt, Attacks Husband is a silversmith, currently working for a reproduction antique lighting company. He makes lamps and chandeliers. It’s a very small, niche company, and his boss is extremely eccentric. The pay is decent, and the things they make are gorgeous.
No word from BiL yet. Thank you for all the prayers and good vibes.

What do I want to do today before work?

Hah. That’s what I wonder every time I look at a student essay.

If the assignment had been: “Write an intriguing beginning to a longer piece of writing” she would have gotten a B, I suppose, but the assignment was writing a descriptive, stand-alone essay. Honestly - first class of the semester, I tell them: MAKE SURE YOU UNDERSTAND YOUR ASSIGNMENT EVERY WEEK but do they listen? Of course not.

Well, good thing I picked up the invite for this golf outing and read it. I was planning to leave around 11, but I see they start serving lunch at 11, and we start actually playing golf at 12:30. So, looks like I’m out of here sooner than I thought.

Really, a very moving OP Plynck, thanks for sharing. Hang around here, would ya? That kind of story telling is a wonderful way to begin the week with.

Hey everybody, I think I am back. I know that I have said this before, but there have been some big changes. I was having computer trouble, and finally switched over to the cable company’s high speed Internet after waiting for high speed Internet for five years on super slow dial up. I also switched my phones over, and they are very cool phones indeed, and since I kept the computer phone line I now have my own private number, and the teens may have the use of the main number, can I get a shout out for not having to share my phone with the rug rats anymore?

I have not been able to keep up with the MMP (or anything else) but I would like to congratulate doggio for opening your heart and taking in another older shelter beagle. Just a thought, if she had indeed been a puppy mill dog she might feel more comfortable with a crate. My dogs have access to several crates, I leave the doors either open or have taken the doors off. It’s normal for a dog to want to den. I have gotten a lot of my crates from the thrift store, although they really aren’t expensive brand new. And special1, what a sqeeable kitten!!! Have fun, kittens are more fun than, well, they are a lot of fun!

We have had termination dust and wet snow for two weeks, with more snow in the immediate future. It won’t be so bad if we get a good solid base of snow before the ice comes, which were the precise conditions of last winter, and which killed off at least half of my bulbs and perennials, the majority of the wild berries, and far too many deer.

Well, I woke up at 4:00, two hours earlier than the alarm is set to go off, so I am showered and dressed and now the getting the kids off to school process begins. I’ll try to stick my head in later, happy hump day, y’all!
