The pork belly market has never really been the same since Hasbro discontinued G.I. Joe with the Kung Fu grip.
Bacon fat Chocolate cookies:
1 cup butter
1 tbsp strained or rendered bacon fat
1 cup brown sugar
1/2 cup white sugar
2 eggs
1 tsp vanilla
1/2 tsp baking soda
1 tsp salt
2 1/2 cups flour
2 cups chocolate chips.
Preheat oven to 375F. In a stand mixer, cream butter, bacon fat & sugar. Mix in eggs & vanilla. Combine salt, baking soda & flour, add to dough in 3 batches, mixing between each. Stir in chocolate chips.
Spoon rounded tablespoons onto cookie sheets. Bake for 8-9 minutes. Cool on wire racks.
Too late to edit - you can also make the above recipe with 1 cup of bacon fat, no butter.
Of course there is someone on the dope with a bacon guy! Why wouldn’t there be?

1 egg, 2 strips of bacon, 1 small bowl
Stir the egg in the bowl, put bacon strips on top, microwave till its tasty. add ketchup and cheese as you see fit.
My dad used to be our bacon guy. He worked at the livestock auction barn and would buy a pig every once in awhile and have it butchered.
As long as you take it out of the pan while it is still limp. If you can hold it horizontally by only one end, you have over-cooked it.
Imagine, butchering a whole pig just for the belly fat. :eek::eek::eek:
Fav. Bacon Recipe: Cook bacon. Take bacon you haven’t eaten straight away, and put it away for some really, really tasty BLTs.

Last summer there was a glut in the European pork market. Things will even out I’m sure. While it can be tough on individual farmers, it’s not exactly super tough to ramp pork production up or down.

BACON SOUP
I’m convinced that EVERY soup I’ve had in Britain or Ireland is bacon-based. This is a good thing.
Recipe: Cook bacon in pot. Remove when crisp.
Cook onion, celery, carrot, garlic (mirepoix) in bacon fat until golden.
Add water and whatever vegetables you like to eat in soup.
When veggies are tender, crumble bacon, add to soup.
