Lord of the Rings Mafia

“Sauruman”? Do Istari now take the guise of a lizard?

neta: and i know that nat wasn’t a full fledged dick but a watcher is kind of close. now that really begs some questions tomorrow.

hee hee and woot woot. this could be highly entertaining in the Days to come at this point.

mod question: can we please, double please talk strategy just for this one Night? please, double please.

ok. this is just general discussion but i would like some feedback on just general mafia mechanics.

a watcher typically only learns something if the person they are watching does something, right?

but typically a watcher only gets information along the lines of x visited y, right? now inferences can be made from that information, especially if y ends up dead. but i have never seen a watcher get x (who is a blah blah blah) did yada yada yada last night to y and therefore x is a insert blank.

hoopy, care to comment on just general game setup?

Nice. Go town!

Depends on the definition you use. It means Sauruman could look into the Palantir and see if a player was acting and who they were targeting(but not what they were doing).

No, double no.

Saruman

I’m tired. Leave me be.

Woohoo!

So now wouldn’t be a good time to mention that for one of the vote counts, you had Nat voting for Nat?

That was anticlimactic, but I suppose it was worth the wait nonetheless.

Since no strategy at night, I can’t comment. However, somewhere in a discussion thread from a previous game of Mahaloth’s I discussed the scum watcher and how it compares to a scum detective. I don’t recall if it was in a forbidden thread or a spoiled thread. If it was in a forbidden thread you can probably poke around a bit and find it.

so would something along the lines of once upon a time there was a game that folks played. it was called mafia. and folks from wide and far participated. some with gusto and some with not so much gusto.

and just assume that this game at some point took on a tolkien leaning. there were all sorts of middle earthians involved in a struggle to save the west. and others that weren’t really keen on the traditional tolkien ending.

and just assume that through the course of game play that one player (who turns out to be dastardly) through the reading of further paragraphs kind of like protects and comes to the aid of another player. and there is another player that kind of bites on that and causes the death of a middle earthian. and just suppose that there was another middle earthian that had some real issues about that, as well as with the protectee. and further assuming that this hypothetical participant really wants to engage in discourse with this person,

and i mean this is all just hypothetical.

would it be considered strategy to talk about just hypothetical mafia stuff like this?.

For fuck’s sake, peeker, just wait until Saturday like the rest of us.

Seriously, peeker, let it go. You can talk about it in the morning.
I hate it when people attempt to rules lawyer. Either play the game or find something else to do with your time.

jeez louise, i was just giving maha a hard time for crimminy’s sake.

anyone up for some no fold 'em hold 'em? just to kind a while away the time.

It would seem that Peeker is missing the frantic, no time restriction frenzy that is Haggle.

actually, since i am getting paid by the post the down time is really cutting into my earnings potential.

You should have negotiated a fixed rate contract like I did. I get paid regardless of post volume or winning or anything!

**A Haggle rule slip, based on the number of posts you make in the game. **
Nah, I already broke that one game with the Copper doubler.
I miss Haggle, is that obvious?
