So, you think that there’s more than 1 phrasing for the Vanilla Win Condition? despite the fact that many have agreed to the win condition that Chronos stated. And despite the fact that no one countered that it wasn’t the win condition. And despite the fact that I corroborated it and still no one has argued against it?
No, I must obviously be missing your point.
I get the fact that it’s possible that I could have been Scum trying to out the Vanilla to find the non-Vanilla. But what does that have to do with more than 1 Vanilla Role PM? And why does that concept keep coming up?
@Chip, then you can explain why not one single solitary Vanilla has stepped forward to claim that my Vanilla Role PM does not match theirs?
I mean, surely I’m lynch worthy if I posted such a bland role PM that could apply to any character (Glorfindel or Farimir…OK, maybe not Glorfindel). What makes you think, nay, hope that there’s more than 1 Vanilla Role PM?
A question not directly related to any of the current topics of discussion, but one that’s been on my mind for a while now:
Mahaloth, is there any plan in the works to replace Little Plastic Ninja (perhaps at the end of Day 1)? His/her last post in this thread was last Thursday afternoon, and it looks like their last post anywhere on the SDMB was late that same night.
Might have had something to do with the fact that it was grossly unbalanced against town. I mean, 2 mislynches and town loses in a 24 player game? Even with almost all the remaining scum pegged? And poisoning via fluff? WTF?
ok, let’s make this easy for you and everyone else. when i get focused on someone that person typically is all i am looking at. weakness, i know.
i was really looking at ed and was focused on him. his play was anti town. it was, in my opinion, short sighted from a town stand point.
and this is total meta game. but when chronos started to semi agree with me that made me nervous as heck. i don’t get along well with chronos in these games either (although he seems like a nice enough folk and someone i would like to talk physics about over a diet coke). and then chippy chimes in with his/her (?) comment. that just didn’t ring true.
i think pleo’s soft claim was shit but not enough to warrant a vote, yet. i think that chronos doing his half ass mason claim is shit. i think that others doing the same thing is a bunch of non town oriented crap. i think that folks posting portiions of their pms is very anti town and only helps scum. the problem is that i can’t vote for eight or ten folks so i am going to go for the one on the top of my list. although i may yte very well just move it to a lurker as a policy vote before the Day ends.
what the hell more do you want from me? jeebus ask someone like natlaw who has been barely participatory thus far. but shit, that would be too easy.
fucking lynch the loud.
why the fuck do you hold me to a different standard than the rest of the players. fuck, i am at least trying.
So, hoppy, take another look at my post. I said that it was likely the scum had access to the vanilla role pm and safe names. If I wanted to modify the vanilla role PM to create a power role I would…expand the powers section. Personally I’m reluctant to psychoanalyze the mod in the hopes of identifying decoding whether the PM is valid (I noted all the problems others have IDed on first reading). My argument stands: We can kill him tomorrow. If he’s town, scum have to at least waste a roleblock on him. If he’s scum, we’re certainly not going to blindly believe his report, and that’s the only real danger. I see no advantage to killing a claimed power role right now.
The case against Ed stands independent of the case against suburban, and I’m comfortable with that.
I have some RL stuff to deal with. Good luck everyone. We’ll certainly know more by Dawn.
i didn’t design the game, merely played it is all. shoot just because you get pocket rockets three times in a row doesn’t mean that you fold just to make it “fair”
See, Sinjin ordered a drink from the virtual bar. Well, apparently ped thought it would be amusing to add a mechanic to what was a regular fluff tradition that the scum poisoner could literally poison the drinks in the bar.
So scum got a nice unblockable bonus kill that night, from fluff. On top of the poisoner having other bonus kills as well.
Why do you find that so interesting? Other than peeker’s “lynch the lurkers” initiative, all of the voting has been done based on what people have posted. So the people who have posted the most have the most content to be examined and found suspect. Thus, they received the most votes. Squeaky wheels and all that…
The biggest exception to this rule at this point is Chipacabra, who made the mistake coming in this afternoon and trying to summarize the last 300 posts in a couple paragraphs, and picked up a couple quick votes that way.
