What could have been any better than Mario scoring to tie the game in what was looking like the last minutes of the Pens season last night?

With their backs to the wall the Pens managed to get some redemption aginst the Sabres who seemed like they couldn’t hit the net in the third period.

It’s been a great playoff season so far and pretty soon we can start making our picks for the next series. I truly hope that the Pens and Leafs end up going head to head while St. Louis plays L.A.

I’ll have my fingers crossed this evening.

So much for Cinderella stories–the Leafs and the Kings turn into pumpkins at the end. Hopefully the Pens will do better.

I’d have to make the Devils favorites over either the Pens or Sabres, and I’m going with the Blues in the West.

I thank you for the blessed luck of having one television in my post last night, and it was stuck on ESPN. I thank you for the goal that broke Cujo in the 2nd, and the three that followed unanswered in that period. I thank thee for the blessed intervention in the 3rd that smacked a heavenly one-timer past an overrated goalie, taking vengeance for the dopey goal they got two games ago at the slight miscalculation of Colin White. I thank you for the good fortune, and promise to say my “Hail Neidermeyers” tonight. Thank you.

In about a half hour I will be watching my beloved Penguins beat the Sabres.

If they should lose, due to some freak occurrence, be prepared. They say Hell hath no fury like woman scorned?

I was wrong. I gave up on the Pens, and they gutted it out. Now they take on the Devils…and the Pens were the last team to beat New Jersey in the playoffs.

I’m still picking the Devils to make it to the finals…but the Pens are more than welcome to prove me wrong again. :smiley:

All I can say to last nights game is: Koo-koo-ka-freakin’-choo!

Anybody see the interview with Kevin Stevens in the locker room after the game? “I don’t think I’ve ever seen Kasper score in PRACTICE, let alone a game.” Marvelous.

I remain convinced that the only reason that Kasper made that goal was that he was trying to hurt Hasek. God bless his series-winning little heart, he was aiming for the Dominator’s head, and missed. The goal’s just as good, though. They can always run Hasek down in the parking lot.:smiley:

I was gone all last week. Didn’t get to see any of the hockey. All of the series looked good but please tell me the games were horrible and I didn’t miss anything.

(Wasting away in boredom in Detroit. At least the Tigers have been doing better.)
