Lori Vallow, Chad Daybell and the missing kids: zombies, a cult and more!

Is anyone else following this story? I searched and didn’t see a prior thread even tho this has been going on for months and months now.

Here’s the nutshell synopsis that’s missing LOTS of crazy details:

Lori Vallow was married to Charles Vallow. They had a daughter, Tylee Ryan, whom Charles adopted; her father is Lori’s previous husband. They also adopted a boy named JJ. Tylee was 17; JJ was 7.

Chad Daybell was married to Tammy Daybell.

Charles Vallow died 11 July 2019, shot to death by Lori’s brother Alex Cox, who claimed self-defense. Police say Lori was non-plussed immediately after her husband death.

Tammy Daybell died 19 October 2019.

Lori and Chad were married eleven days later, in Hawaii, on 5 November 2019.

Neither of her two children were present for the wedding. Both have been missing since September 2019. IIRC, JJ went missing first, then Tylee, who was last seen in

Lori Vallow has offered several different stories about her children’s whereabouts; none of them were true.

Alex Cox was himself found dead in his home on 12 December 2019.

Lori Vallow was finally arrested in Hawaii in February 2020 and extradited back to Idaho where she has been denied bond and awaits trial on child welfare charges.

That brief description does not do this story justice. It’s the most fucked up thing I’ve heard of since the Josef Fritzl case back in 2008/2009.

New court documents show that Lori and Chad talked of zombies (people whose souls had been displaced from their bodies and replaced by a demon or a slug or WTF???) and the need to kill them, specifically talking about her nephew.

Chad reportedly is the head of some weird religious end-times cult (and he’s still free in Hawaii, btw).

Lori rented a storage unit and put the kids stuff in there and then abandoned it. There’s video from the storage place’s cameras.

There’s fake emails, allegedly written by Lori posing as Charles, inviting Chad to the Vallow’s home.

There’s just too many details for me to get it all in this one post with links and everything. Is anyone else following this? Does anyone think either of the kids are still alive? (I don’t.)

This shit is fucked up, yo.

Spam reported. (And, Jesus Christ, what a bad thread for it.)

This is a very crazy story a fiction writer couldn’t make up.

I don’t believe the kids are alive. I’ll continue to follow the story when it is updated in the local paper (this is a semi-local story).

I haven’t heard a lot about it lately, but yeah, I still want to know what happened to the kids. I don’t think they’re alive either.

Never mind.

I watched a show about this case. Yes, it is a crazy story and I don’t believe the kids are alive anymore either.

The grandparents are just heartbroken. I feel for them.

Worst Bingo Game Ever.

Lori Daybell’s wedding ring cost $35.99 on Amazon and was ordered on 2 October 2019. This is the same day that she put the kids’ stuff in a storage locker with someone (presumably Chad Daybell) else’s help. It’s also 17 days before Tammy Daybell mysteriously died in her sleep.

The same computer shows someone searching for wedding dresses on 3 October 2019.

The name on the ring order was Charles Vallow, who had died 3 months prior, in July.

3:41 video with print story in the description.

This is definitely one of the strangest true-crime stories I’ve ever heard.

It is almost like True Detective meets Twin Peaks.

It looks super convoluted when written out like that, but it can really be boiled down to:

Lori and Chad were having an affair, and murdered their spouses, children, and accomplices, so they could get married.

It looks super convoluted because it is super convoluted.

Everything seems simple if you just omit all the details.

I read that Lori Daybell has been married five times. And of course her current husband runs a cult. I don’t think think this is just an affair. People usually don’t die over affairs.

I keep a bookmark on the case. The kids are gone; they were in the way. Glad she was arrested and extradited from Hawaii.

Money, life insurance, scams. Follow the trail.

Chad Daybell in police custody after human remains found at property.

Well, put that way the story has an air of sweet romance.

She was someone to die for.

Do you not watch Law and Order??

Or Dateline or Forensic Files. Love/jealousy is either the first or second leading cause of murder. The other is money.

The third is love of money.
