Anyone else watching this? I watched the first episode and found it solid and touching a times. For those that missed it, it is an hour long comedy that had three separate stories (sort of like the old “Love American Style” with a lot less cheese.) I particularly liked the first vignette, with Buffy’s little sister (whose name escapes me right now) taking the “I want to just be friends” speech and using it against the guy.
Anyone else watch? Or is this another show I like whch will be cancelled by episode 3 because only I like it.
I watched the first two episodes because I like several of the actors (Krysten Ritter, Pamela Adlon, Greg Grunberg, Becki Newton). But the writing makes me wince. Maybe I’d like it more if I were in the targeted age group, but since I’m sixtysomething, it just doesn’t ring my chimes.
It’s decent enough. Although I wouldn’t get to attached. Judging by it’s Wikipedia article, it looks like it’s pretty much a one-off show (13 eps reduced to 9. Showrunner and most of the main stars already have other projects in the pipeline)
I actually enjoyed it which surprised me.
I’d like it more if the stories were all different every week but from the preview it looks like we’ll be following these 3 story lines. I’d prefer new characters and stories each episode but I can understand how that would be a PITA.
