Lovers Destined to Be Together (Actors paired romantically in multiple roles)

Barbra Streisand and Ryan O’Neal, in both “What’s Up Doc?” and “The Main Event.”

John Travolta and Olivia Newton-John in “Grease” and “Twist of Fate.”

Elvis Presley and Shelley Fabares made 3 movies together.

Adam Sandler and Drew Barrymore (Wedding Singer, 50 First Dates).

Sandra Bullock and Keanu Reeves

Julia Roberts and Richard Gere (Pretty Woman, The Runaway Bride)

What are Doris and Rock, chopped liver?

Best wishes,
hh

And then there was Woody Allen & Mia Farrow.

If film series count, then Johnny Weismuller & Maureen O’Sullivan did six Tarzan films together.

And didn’t John Travolta & Uma Thurman do another film together after “Pulp Fiction”? I didn’t see it (or recall the name of it), but I remember seeing it advertised and making a big deal about how they were in another dance scene together.

They did, it was the sequel to Get Shorty and it wasn’t very good. ** Be Cool**

Johnny Depp and Helena Bohnam Carter.

Just the one.

Jake Gyllenhaal and Anne Hathaway played a married couple in Brokeback Mountain and some sort of couple in Love and Other Drugs.

I know they’ve often been in Burton movies, but which ones were they coupled in romantically, other than The Corpse Bride (which, being animated, is a cool twist to the question). I know she was in Alice in Wonderland, but they weren’t playing a couple. I know they were both in Charlie and the Chocolate Factory; but not a couple. I haven’t seen Sweeney Todd in eons… are they romantically paired? I didn’t think it was a romantic relationship.

Laura Linney and Liam Neeson played spouses in “The Crucible” on Broadway, and in the movie Kinsey. (And also in a movie called The Other Man, IMDB tells me.)

Mrs. Lovett was clearly in love with Sweeney and wanted to marry him I doubt he returned her feelings, what with being a freaking nutjob, but I wouldn’t be surprised if they made the beast with two backs at some point. Partly because Sweeney might have seen it as a way of keeping her under control, and partly because, well, it’s Helena Bonham Carter. Even de-glammed she’s worth looking at.
